Do you invite imperfection into your life?
It shows up anyway, so what might happen if you welcomed it?
My new favorite tea cup handle cracked off.
I love feeling my hands wrapped around the textured design of the cup.
But I forgot that when the handle was there I needed to hold it at the edge initially because the tea made the cup too hot.
This piece of imperfection offered me a beautiful opportunity to sit next to my fireplace allowing the tea to settle to just the right temperature and respond to it accordingly.
That Moment ~ my cup sitting amidst the wood chips not perfectly swept up around the fireplace, a cup too hot to handle ~ offered me a moment of rest.
To catch my breath from the busyness of the day.
The overwhelm that can come when we run from one activity to the next.
I invite you to welcome your moments of imperfection as well.
You never know where they might take you!
BTW – it was Lemon Ginger – Perfectly imperfect.
